The Blooming Dawn, At the Lotus of Memphis Music composed and interpreted by Sherif Dahroug, Lyre de Mercure In the musical masterpiece The Blooming Dawn, At the Lotus of Memphis, we embark on a mystical journey, guided by the sacred light of Nefertum and the eternal echoes of Isis. This composition is a musical offering celebrating the divine birth of Nefertum, emerging from the sanctified lotus as revered in the traditions of Memphis. Release date: January 6, 2025, on all major platforms. In the ancient Egyptian worldview, the lotus was far more than a simple flower. Each morning, its blooming on the Nile’s waters accompanied the sunrise, symbolizing daily rebirth. To the Egyptians, the lotus was a bridge between the primordial waters and divine light. In the Pyramid Texts, the lotus is described as "the nose of Ra," offering his first breath to the divine child at the horizon. Within Memphis cosmology, the lotus gives birth to Nefertum, “the Beautiful Atum,” son of Ptah. Recognizable by the lotus flower adorning his head, Nefertum embodies emerging beauty and perpetual renewal. This musical work honors this profound symbolism, recreating through mystical soundscapes the moment the lotus unfurls and divine life is revealed. Isis holds a central role in this composition, embodying the profound connection between sky and earth, life and death, through her association with Sirius, the brightest star in the heavens. Her emblem, the "Sacred Knot" (Tiet), symbolizes the power of regeneration and rebirth. Representing menstrual blood, this emblem holds the key to the cycles of life and the afterlife. Through this mystical force, Isis reveals her ability to protect souls and guide them on their journey to eternity. On winter nights, as Orion strides across the southern horizon, Sirius’s dazzling brilliance can be seen to its left, closer to the horizon. Alongside Betelgeuse and Procyon, they form the Winter Triangle, heralding the divine birth of Nefertum at dawn, as the sacred lotus unfolds. In this work, the light of Sirius and the presence of Isis celebrate the divine birth of Nefertum, son of Ptah, emerging from the sanctified lotus. This moment is a tribute to the sacred days of Isis, reflecting the power of renewal and eternal beauty. Released under the Lyre de Mercure label, this musical promise invites a moment of contemplation, celebrating the splendor of beauty and the renewal of the soul.
