On winter nights, as Orion strides across the southern horizon, Sirius’s dazzling brilliance can be seen to its left, closer to the horizon. Alongside Betelgeuse and Procyon, they form the Winter Triangle, heralding the divine birth of Nefertum at dawn, as the sacred lotus unfolds. In this work, the light of Sirius and the presence of Isis celebrate the divine birth of Nefertum, son of Ptah, emerging from the sanctified lotus.
